New Shows...Numenarh says...really I do.

Studio 60 might be too smart for Television. Sometimes people say that when what they really mean is...it was not all that good. Yet 60 is great. I wish it at least 5 years and syndication. Heroes I wish 7, Cult Buffy status, and a movie at the cinema to end it all. I wish The Nine actually had 9 and not 10 stars...that way the name would make sense. The Nine is like pulling teeth, but not your own but also not for money or property or anything that helps one out. Smith is dead, it isn't like anything. 30 Rock is apparently funny, so. Lots of shows are funny...is it good? I don't know, but I doubt it will hang around too long, I take a 60% wait and see and a 40% I think is fails approach. It has some chance. Kidnapped got punked in a new timeslot. And Greg Harold was done a tremendous disservice when Vanished executives decided to slay his character, out of the blue, for no good reason that did not help the story at all. Ming Na can you carry the show? I hope so...But alas I doubt it. Vanished is very good and should have been given time to grow. Greg Harold deserved a chance to turn it around as did all the other actors and writers. Oh wait...Vanished has almost 6 million viewers. Buffy ran wild on 4.7 to 6 million per week. Smallville is pulling 4.7 or so...and it is still on. Vanished, the concept and the actor Greg Harold, deserved better. (*Dumbass dump guys...Vanished was good*)
I've seen Jericho it is oddly appealing...but even I can't figure out just how. I see it going 3 years at this early stage...but that could change if mid season drags or the cliffhanger is too much hanger and not enough cliff. The show has to have a jumping off point and rather soon...fly my pretty. Please figure out the mystery while you develop great characters. Not every show can be Lost. Sometimes unique shows should stay uniqie. That is it for Numenarh's blog today. Check back again as I will be updating more often. I might just say anything. Yep.

Me venting and stuff.

North Korea makes me sick. They use our own policies against us. Example: If the United States and Bush, especially, notices a threat to our homeland security or otherwise we, America, should be able to act first. NK said the same thing back to us and the world. Then apparently, perhaps, detonated a nuclear device under a mountain. Roseena advocates using an assassin. But assassin is ass, ass...in. Ever notice that? Two asses and an in. So perhaps assassinations should be considered none too lightly, if at all. Though I think it might be something that should be considered under rather extreme and unruly circumstances. I don't think we've reached that point with NK...not near it. Next:
School shootings by students, crazy disturbed people, disturbed people, disgruntled people, gothic coat wearing "doom" boys and other not happy with society people should remember something________We are all human. Death is rather permanent and killing innocent people won't make the demons go away, the world a better place or get people to remember you as you...but remember you only for what you did. This sort of infamous act does nothing for you on a large scale. To really be remembered you need a Stalin, Hitler or Alexander or even a Dracula sort of scale of debauchery and evil. Honestly in 20 years only people my age will really remember those trench coated bads that attacked that school. I'm 36. And honest even I might not actually recall it. Certainly the destruction of the Towers or the explosion of the space shuttle or the O.J. verdict will be much more fresh in my mind than even the Almish shooting that is much more, horribly so, recent. The people directly involved will remember...but even that won't give "immortality" as some have felt they might achieve by acting on murderous thoughts or revenge fantasies. Some people were truly disturbed that attacked schools...others knew what and why they were doing what they were doing and only cared to hurt and destroy as much as possible before the inevitable end of such rage. Death, permanent. Remember?

Also I went to see The Departed. It was a good movie, a friend paid my way, but I was not so happy with the actual ending. I'd watch the movie again. Should it get best picture? I don't know. But what else has been released so far this year that ranks above The Departed? I think nothing worthy of best picture. Superman was great. Underworld 2 good, I thought. And The ballad of Ricky Bobbie was so smartly funny but best pic material they are not. So The Departed, best picture? Right now...seems most likely. Still I was not so happy with the actual last 2 minutes of the movie. But this should not stop you from watching an excellent film. It took in 27 million this weekend. Okay, I'm done.

The world according to Foley.

I don't understand why Clinton had to go through everything he did involving Monica, his marriage and the sex he did or did not have. Foley obviously was and in some respect still is being shielded for his inappropriate behavior. Perhaps Foley should be criminally prosecuted? It would help the country right? The same way it helped the country when people went after Clinton. Clinton at the time was more than just a man...he was President of the United States. It was a personal matter between him, his wife and any mistress he chose and no one else. Bush has lead people into war via cloak and dagger mislead. He has lied to us, the American people time and again. Secret CIA detention camps do exist. Now North Korea is breathing down our neck with the threat of possible armageddon. Nuclear weapons could destroy our world over time even if not in the blink of an eye. Fallout...mutation. Iran is evil. Iraq was all but harmless at least in the WMD department. Lets just forget Foley and Bush and instead someone please save the planet or at least freaking try to. We need a hero or actually alot of them. Men and women that will rise to the challenge of trying to make a less screwed up world for the future. 75% honesty from high ranking officials is all I ask. With Bush and his little empire I'd rank it at about 13% truthfulness and the rest lies, or at best spin....and I do mean at best.
