Yet 60 is great. I wish it at least 5 years and syndication. Heroes I wish 7, Cult Buffy status, and a movie at the cinema to end it all. I wish The Nine actually had 9 and not 10 stars...that way the name would make sense. The Nine is like pulling teeth, but not your own but also not for money or property or anything that helps one out. Smith is dead, it isn't like anything. 30 Rock is apparently funny, so. Lots of shows are funny...is it good? I don't know, but I doubt it will hang around too long, I take a 60% wait and see and a 40% I think is fails approach. It has some chance. Kidnapped got punked in a new timeslot. And Greg Harold was done a tremendous disservice when Vanished executives decided to slay his character, out of the blue, for no good reason that did not help the story at all. Ming Na can you carry the show? I hope so...But alas I doubt it. Vanished is very good and should have been given time to grow. Greg Harold deserved a chance to turn it around as did all the other actors and writers. Oh wait...Vanished has almost 6 million viewers. Buffy ran wild on 4.7 to 6 million per week. Smallville is pulling 4.7 or so...and it is still on. Vanished, the concept and the actor Greg Harold, deserved better. (*Dumbass dump guys...Vanished was good*)
I've seen Jericho it is oddly appealing...but even I can't figure out just how. I see it going 3 years at this early stage...but that could change if mid season drags or the cliffhanger is too much hanger and not enough cliff. The show has to have a jumping off point and rather soon...fly my pretty. Please figure out the mystery while you develop great characters. Not every show can be Lost. Sometimes unique shows should stay uniqie. That is it for Numenarh's blog today. Check back again as I will be updating more often. I might just say anything. Yep.

Me venting and stuff.

North Korea makes me sick. They use our own policies against us. Example: If the United States and Bush, especially, notices a threat to our homeland security or otherwise we, America, should be able to act first. NK said the same thing back to us and the world. Then apparently, perhaps, detonated a nuclear device under a mountain. Roseena advocates using an assassin. But assassin is ass, ass...in. Ever notice that? Two asses and an in. So perhaps assassinations should be considered none too lightly, if at all. Though I think it might be something that should be considered under rather extreme and unruly circumstances. I don't think we've reached that point with NK...not near it. Next:
School shootings by students, crazy disturbed people, disturbed people, disgruntled people, gothic coat wearing "doom" boys and other not happy with society people should remember something________We are all human. Death is rather permanent and killing innocent people won't make the demons go away, the world a better place or get people to remember you as you...but remember you only for what you did. This sort of infamous act does nothing for you on a large scale. To really be remembered you need a Stalin, Hitler or Alexander or even a Dracula sort of scale of debauchery and evil. Honestly in 20 years only people my age will really remember those trench coated bads that attacked that school. I'm 36. And honest even I might not actually recall it. Certainly the destruction of the Towers or the explosion of the space shuttle or the O.J. verdict will be much more fresh in my mind than even the Almish shooting that is much more, horribly so, recent. The people directly involved will remember...but even that won't give "immortality" as some have felt they might achieve by acting on murderous thoughts or revenge fantasies. Some people were truly disturbed that attacked schools...others knew what and why they were doing what they were doing and only cared to hurt and destroy as much as possible before the inevitable end of such rage. Death, permanent. Remember?
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Stuff+++++++++++++++++++++++++
Also I went to see The Departed. It was a good movie, a friend paid my way, but I was not so happy with the actual ending. I'd watch the movie again. Should it get best picture? I don't know. But what else has been released so far this year that ranks above The Departed? I think nothing worthy of best picture. Superman was great. Underworld 2 good, I thought. And The ballad of Ricky Bobbie was so smartly funny but best pic material they are not. So The Departed, best picture? Right now...seems most likely. Still I was not so happy with the actual last 2 minutes of the movie. But this should not stop you from watching an excellent film. It took in 27 million this weekend. Okay, I'm done.

The world according to Foley.

I don't understand why Clinton had to go through everything he did involving Monica, his marriage and the sex he did or did not have. Foley obviously was and in some respect still is being shielded for his inappropriate behavior. Perhaps Foley should be criminally prosecuted? It would help the country right? The same way it helped the country when people went after Clinton. Clinton at the time was more than just a man...he was President of the United States. It was a personal matter between him, his wife and any mistress he chose and no one else. Bush has lead people into war via cloak and dagger mislead. He has lied to us, the American people time and again. Secret CIA detention camps do exist. Now North Korea is breathing down our neck with the threat of possible armageddon. Nuclear weapons could destroy our world over time even if not in the blink of an eye. Fallout...mutation. Iran is evil. Iraq was all but harmless at least in the WMD department. Lets just forget Foley and Bush and instead someone please save the planet or at least freaking try to. We need a hero or actually alot of them. Men and women that will rise to the challenge of trying to make a less screwed up world for the future. 75% honesty from high ranking officials is all I ask. With Bush and his little empire I'd rank it at about 13% truthfulness and the rest lies, or at best spin....and I do mean at best.

Save The BREW....

We are a small town and a place called the Witche's Brew needs your help. Anyones help. Their lease expires and they have no place to move their business. It is a coffee shop and has brought some wonderful people to our little town of Lincolnton. Please anyone that can...help keep The Brew in Lincolnton. I posted out of utter frustration. I don't know what else to do. Below is an article that appeared on mySpace.

Witches' Brew Needs your Help! This is a very hard for me to write. Some things have happened recently and i think it is important that the entire "Brew Family" know.My lease expired on August 30th and my landlord has decided not to re-new. He has other plans for this building that unfortunately the Brew can not fit into. Does this mean the Brew is closing? Well, i hope not. My plan is to relocate and find a place that is going to make the Brew bigger and better.I know the Brew means so much to so many of you and i thank everyone for all the support I and the brew have received over the past year and a half, but now i really need everyone's help. I need you to continue to come to the Brew and if anyone knows of any property available please let me know.I will keep everyone updated.Thank you again for all you support ! and see you tonight!Kym @ The Brewthis was sent to everyone on the brew's myspace friends list yesterday..

Is good and evil real or not?

I have a friend that thinks that good and evil are only concepts in the feverish minds of us apes. I ended up with Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison. I also have Willie Parker(Shout out to Roseena) I have found that doing this is a fun bit of recreation. But we had a Live Draft this year because some people felt they would do better if they could LD instead of auto-draft. Well, time will tell. Several people were really against it...me for one. But in the end the Live Draft (LD) was done. We were finished, our league is 10 people, in about 4 hours. Some people thought it could take about 7 hours. Glad it did not.
The LD is interesting in the fact that a friend of mine wrote this a number of Months ago:
I wasn't suggesting anything for the wide receivers based on speculation, I was doing it based on the trends from the last two years. The WR pool is always more diluted than the RB pool, because we have 3 WR slots vs. 2 RB slots. Even if you count the flex position as one of each or neither (so it evens out) the RBs still are more concentrated point-wise. To help balance that, is why I made the suggestion about the new point system for WRs. Plus, in no way will it be unrecognizable from last year other than the fact that Russ won't be getting Alexander 3 years running, Zach won't get LT 3 years running, and Peyton will go to someone else.

Scott

Well, my friend Scott is a good guy but Russ got Alexander and I got Peyton and Zach managed to snag LT. Sorry Scott. I have kept this mail and will be putting it on our Fantasy site after the week one game. I think everyone will have fun being reminded of what Scott wrote about 4 Months ago. I know it will give me a thrill.

Journal, no words

I've purchased a journal and can't seem to find anything to write in it. Milk for babies would be allowed on board but must be tasted by the accompanying passenger, UK airport operator BAA said in a statement.

"British Airways, acting on instruction from the UK Government, wishes to advise passengers that no items of hand baggage can be carried on board any aircraft departing any UK airport," the airline said in a statement.

"The UK government has advised that this instruction will apply to all airlines operating from UK airports."

The Department of Transport said in a statement on its Web site that security at all UK airports had been increased and additional security measures had been put in place on all flights.

BAA Plc, which operates three of London's biggest airports including Heathrow, said all passengers would be hand searched and their footwear and all items they carry would be X-rayed.

I don't know how much more we can take. Terrorist keep on trying to disrupt and destroy freedom. They are doing a great job too. The crown of The Statue of Liberty's crown can never be reached again. Nor the spiral staircase that once carried people from around the world to the crown of the Statue. This is due to terrorist and security issues. Terrorist. Hezbollah carries on against the world, really, not just Israel. Exploding devices...suicide bombers. Terrorist.
All liquids, except totally necessary such as medicine and baby formula, have been banned in UK and US on all commercial airlines. I don't know how long the ban will last. I was awake and watching CNN international when I learned of the terrorist plot being foiled. It is good the plot was foiled but even the thwarting of the plot, a rather major operation of the terrorist, brings troubles all its own. Just check out the troubles and higher security levels that are undertaken...it will mean major disruptions to travel. Terrorist. I hate terrorist.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://numenarhsays.blogspot.com/2006/08/doom-cry-havoc-and-let-slip-dogs-of.html' title='Doom? They are working on a resolution for a cease-fire that will stick...but have no actual plan but would really like to come up with one. Okay? And minimum wage is still $5.15 per hour. This means that those working at or close to this wage must work about 4 hours for approximately 5 gallons of gasoline. Remember those making near or at minimum wage still have to pay taxes too. If the average person works 8 hours then that means 1/2 of a work day is spent so a person can buy, on average, about a half tank of gasoline. Of course if you drive a V8 Titan you'll be working about 7 hours for half a tank at $5.15/hour.
Did anyone think to ask Congress and the Senate how they are coming with that totally new, out of the blue issue, issue of illegal immigration reform? Cause make no mistake we already have a plan for legal immigration in place. It is a good thing Congress decide to renew the Patriot act...hmmmm, right?
Also I don't care if, while drunk, Mel Gibson said alot of totally nasty things. I don't mind. Lets not take our eye off the ball. We are still in Iraq, getting smacked around. Israel is smashing Lebanon and killing too many civilians. Lebanon could use their military to help Israel fight Hezbollah. I mean the army of Lebanon and Hezbollah are different. One is a radical terrorist group right? Wait...I think I simplified it too much. Cause Lebanon's government and military are not involved in helping fight Hezbollah though Lebanon claims to want a sovreign government free of radically dangerous and violent elements. Hezbollah has 2 seats in Lebanon's cabinet...Hezbollah has alot of political power and monies. They are well trained. Should Israel keep blowing up everything it comes upon in Lebanon? No, not at all. But Israel sees no other way to dislodge Hezbollah. And no one, in any country so far, has offered any sort of realistic plan for a cease-fire. Ending hostility would only give a chance for both sides to rearm and restructure for another round of even more terrifying conflicts in the future. A true cease-fire will take more than just stopping the shooting and bombing for now...minds and hearts will have to be changed and real diplomacy and a dedication to peace will have to be foremost wanted by both sides of the conflict. That is not at all close to happening right now. Okay the +other is done with.
Have a great day and visit some of the blogs on this site that are telling accounts of the war...they are very interesting no matter your take on the issue. Well, almost no matter, I'm guessing.

Global Tax? United Nations says what?

We pay: Property taxes, sales, gas, income taxes and social security taxes. But the U.N. wants to enact a Global Tax on America and other countries. The United States already provides 22% of the U.N. budget.

This revenue would help raise millions upon millions and millions of dollars with no
accoutability to the countries that provide these monies. It would be an "independent" revenue, resource, outside of member dues. This is a genuine proposal and it is not simply a whimsical idea. I suggest if you dislike this idea you vote against it using e-mail, phone or letter. Contact your Congressman.
Any tax levied upon a citizen should see that money go to the sovreign government, for the government and the nation that said citizen is a part of. Scandals and money wasting the U.N. has already been accused of is one set of problems. The food for oil debacle is proven. Certain members make large amounts of money for doing jobs and helping the world. Do you know what those jobs are? What resources does U.N. have? Can you name 3 members of the United Nations...either people or Nations other than the United States or Shirley Temple?
Just something to think about. The U.N. has had a peace keeping force between the borders of Israel and Lebanon for 28 years...that did alot of good. Since 1978. An international peace keeping force is needed...right? But it should be several countries in a coalition that share the resources and cost and that is not tied to the wonderful United Nations that have so helped us with the "peace keeping" it has done so far around the globe. Or meddling, if I might be so blunt. Over-reaching goals with underwhelming results is the hallmark of U.N. actions. Especially where supposed "military" and "peace keeping" forces is concerned. But if you doubt the U.N. is ill equipped to deal with such things then simply research the record of the U.N. on your own. Humanatarian aid the U.N. has enacted or called for is not among the things I am taking shots at. I don't think the U.N. should get a Global Tax that gives it more independance and makes it less accountable to the U.S. and I think taxes should only be put upon people by the sovreign governemnt of said people. But that is just my opinion.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://numenarhsays.blogspot.com/2006/07/global-tax-united-nations-says-what.html' title='Global Tax? But from now on I'll be updating every other day...and at times several days in a row. I got a few comments and they mean so much to me. Oddly my friends I see several times a week have never visited my blog. People in other states have seen it...and people I don't know. Thank you. I hope to make the content worth your while. Also go check out Sci-Fi and download the trailer for The Amazing screw-on head. Then answer some questions about it. But only if you like gothic steampunk adventures and are ready to be amused and possibly just a little "frightened" so to speak. The show is really unique. Believe me.
Also I am pushing another show this year that I just hope lives up to what I want it to be. So no full on endorsements as yet but just give it a chance, like me. The name is Jerico. I just hope the wall don't all fall down in the pilot. You'll have time to watch it cause Lost is going on Hiatus for 3 Months...November, December and January...then will return with all new shows till end of May.
In additiion it appears that Greys Anatomy will battle head to head with CSI and I'd like to throw my hat in the ring right now and say CSI will win that ratings battle. Though this might just be the best test for CSI ever. I hope Anatomy does well though as I understand from my friends that watch it that the show is top notch. But several of them don't think Anatomy can beat Grissom either.
Okay, all for now. But check back soon. Remember I'll be updating lots.
Numenarh.

If wheels were square.

If the original concept of the wheel was square...it would be hard to roll. Very hard. Some poor guy would be trying in deep desperation to get the thing up the smallest hill and also down the smallest hill. He'd work and labor trying to gain the momentum to get it to that sharp square corner so it would flip, perfectly well, onto the next side. Four sides, true, so why is the thing so hard to turn? With four sides to help it turn why won't it go more smoothly?
Eventually, over a long period the wheel would begin to change shape under use and slowly the edges of the square wheel would wear away. Finally, at last the wheel would resemble an actual wheel. The kind of wheel you and I understand to be, actually, a wheel. At this point the original concept would be dead, useless so to speak. A new concept born out of the old one, from it literally, would be formed. The idea would take shape. Make the darned thing round, rounder, to start with. The concept of the wheel is born. Eureka, we failed. Learning from our mistakes is so very fundamentally how we get along in life. Go to the next level, stage and ultimately next evolution of everything and anything. Failure through honest hard work and continued dedication to innovation and learning from that failure is so very human. So feel free to make some square wheels...then smooth out the edges. Just be careful what kind of hill you are taking it up or down or you might end up under the wagon. We all can't end up as perfect wheels but we can all smooth out the edges.

War-torn humanity

No for sure. Depends on what the person disagrees with. Some people really are anti-American and live right here in the U.S. with all "us" good Americans. But as far as disagreement about policy or wars and such...for the most part Zach is correct. Though both Zach and roseena are making blanket Universal affirmative statements that just really, usually, don't work in the real world. Parts of both arguments are dead on...
Example: Roseena has the right to respect and love the men and women fighting for our country. She can even love the military ideal itself. The human aspect of individuals dying is a harsh thing to live down. They are gone forever and honoring those loses are important even if anyone, Zach or me, anyone disagrees about how this life is being lost or even why the war is being undertaken. If a person wants to believe another person died for nothing in a war that is fine too...and this attitude does not make for an Anti-American, not necessarily. But if same said person "spits" on the grave of or "tramples" the idea of giving medals for such bravery when a soldier is seriously wounded or killed then I think this might be a wrong headed idea and a shit-ass thing to do. Individual human beings get caught up in war and the politics and all the reasons in the world only do one thing...justify one side or another. War is grim and truly deadly.
The people in India, London and New York and also those in Lebanon and Israel and all the places I have not named that have died in the name of war or in the name of some god I will never meet...they are the casualties. Anecdotes are fun. Jokes about the war can be taken for what they are, jokes. But while you are joking or arguing something petty, in the scheme of things, and while I write this mail...people are dying. Men, women and children. Terrorist are killing them. Extremist of one group or another is battering down a door and slaying the living hell out of people that did not even know they were "fair game" or pawns or just not born in a place more stable and safe. Bullets are tearing flesh from bystanders and people just trying to get fucking home are blown to bits and delivered agony in the name of something that just might mean nothing too. I should think that most terrorist have a "My country, right or wrong" approach too. The difference between roseena's right or wrong approach and the terrorist however is...the terrorist kills the hell out of you for his country even if you are a child or elderly or just because you got on the wrong train, work at the wrong building or sit in the wrong market place. This is war. Anecdotes don't stop war. People end them. The problem is one entire group must usually be beaten asunder before any sort of "agreement" or "surrender" can take place. Defeating a country is hard enough...but defeating cells of terrorist that exist in a fly by night fashion is even more difficult. Nigh impossible really. Both Zach and roseena can criticize each other all they wish but each time they do I want them both to consider how each individual life, American or otherwise has been harmed by war and terrorism. That is my 2 pennies.
The result of this post has to do with some mail I've received from some friends that are arguing what is is to be anti-American and other sundries attatched to the war like military service and if our country is correct in battling in Iraq. Sorry if it seems disjointed but I felt like putting this on my blog. So...I did.

tmz.com(Who cares?)

This post and info was taken by Numenarh from tmz.com and it talks about Suri cruise. Does she or does she not exist? I was just about totally bored when a really, short yes, but interesting post come to my attention.
This is the post:
11. WHO GIVES A CRAP!!!!!!!! WHAT ABOUT OUR SOLDIERS WHO ARE GETTING KILLED DAILY!!!!!!!!!111

Posted at 7:28AM on July 10th 2006 by Cherl
Below is some more info from tmz.com and it talks about Suri Cruise. Do people that get on sites dedicated to celebrities or Tformers or Super hero websites really need to "bring down" those just wanting to have fun with talk and gossip by putting in posts about war and death? Or is the post from Cherl a reality check that balances things and gives perspective? What are your views? If I told you mine I'd be doing a lot of work...and what I really want is some opinions. But check out my profile and you might get a clue as to what I think.
The entire point of Numenarh's talking tree is to think about something. Trivial one day very important the next. Like a tree, start with the seed and eventually branch out. Whoops I guess I told you what I think right there. ***Warning 3 star random thought: Ockham, double truth. Check it out.***

Below is the Suri document...

The document, filed with the Los Angeles County Register-Recorder/County Clerk, was filed May 8, 2006. (Click on document to download) There are several interesting items of note:

First, St. John's Hospital has a policy of filing birth certificates within 10 days of birth. In this case, Suri was born on April 18 but the certificate was not filed until May 8, 20 days later. An official from the hospital told TMZ that the delay occurred because they needed a signature from the parents or a representative of the parents certifying birth, and that person did not come in until May 4. The person who signed is labeled "friend." The signature is not legible.

Also, the "Attendant or Certifier" who signed the certificate -- Anne Heffernan, RNC -- was not in the delivery room and did not see the baby. But a hospital rep tells TMZ that Heffernan is authorized to sign when the doctor is not available. A hospital rep said "normally the doctor signs" but it isn't a requirement.

Finally, the hospital rep said that the circumstances that triggered the eventual signing of the birth certificate were that Suri needed a passport and a birth certificate is a prerequisite to obtaining one.

Price of Gasoline...think.

What do you think the price of gasoline should be before we as a group, citizens, get involved and motivate change? If you have any>feelings for this Marine who was doing his job, then please read & help >take>action for this American Hero.>I am asking all who receive this message to add your name in support of >the>young Marine accused of murdering a combatant in Iraq. He called out to >his>buddies that the person was faking, the person apparently made a suspect >move>and the marine shot him dead. There was another combatant in the room who>identified himself as being wounded.....The marines did not shoot him. The>do-gooders & bleeding hearts at the ACLU are claiming the marine is guilty >of a>war crime.>This is ridiculous! Bill O'Reilly of the Fox News Channel feels there is>overwhelming support for this young Marine -Let's prove him right - we can >make>a difference! Washington,> >MD.>I do not like Bill O'Reilly, and do not agree with very much that he >stands>for. However, from the first day that this appeared on the news my stomach >has>been turning, and I am mad as hell. A Marine's weapon, ammo and pack are>enough of a load, without having to carry a guilt trip super-imposed by >some>"reporter", and the very real threat of a bad discharge and brig time for >simply>doing his duty. As I recall, the number one objective in war is to survive >->to survive by killing the enemy. In this war, the enemy is not in uniform,>and does not respect any accepted rules of engagement, except to kill as >many>Americans as possible, any way possible. These are not soldiers, but >fanatic>guerillas, who think nothing of sacrificing their own lives as human >grenades>if they can take an American with them. I don't know about you, but I want>them all dead, and I want all of our Marines and soldiers home alive and>whole. Since it has been proven that this Marine killed an enemy, he >should be>combat decorated. That is all.> >> > > 625.
